About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work alongside skilled and motivated Operations team mates to assist with the management of people and assets of our company. Based in Ballarat (or Derrimut/Laverton) this full-time position is central to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of client projects across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the coordination of the daily scheduling and allocation of trucks and drivers across worksites
* Liaise with clients to confirm bookings, job details and any follow-up to ensure a high level of service delivery
* Work closely with the Operations Manager on asset and people utilisation, maintenance planning and scheduling.
* Assist with any urgent compliance, inductions, and operational record-keeping
* Provide day-to-day operational support to supervisors and crews, ensuring effective communication across teams
* Help identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction
* Assist finance team with any follow-up documentation

We're after a confident, capable operations professional who understands the pace and demands of the crane, construction, or heavy-lifting environment.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience in operations coordination, scheduling, logistics, or fleet management (transport industry experience highly regarded)
* Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Logical and effective problem-solving capability
* High-level communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously to meet deadlines
* A strong eye for detail and commitment to safety
