Are you a creative, hands-on designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment? This Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced and motivated Graphic Designer to join its Creative Services Team within the Communications Branch.
About the role
As a Graphic Designer, you will lead the design and delivery of digital and print materials across a range of platforms and audiences. From web-ready social media graphics and animations to publications and infographics, you will develop creative solutions that align with government standards and accessibility requirements. You'll consult directly with internal stakeholders, ministerial offices, and external suppliers to manage projects from concept to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Design and produce digital and print content for websites, social media, publications, signage, and internal communications.
- Collaborate across the Department to develop creative solutions for communication needs.
- Provide expert design advice, ensure brand consistency, and maintain quality control.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and contribute to evolving corporate branding practices.
What we're looking for
We're after a designer with:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or at least 4 years of professional graphic design experience.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A portfolio showcasing concept development through to final production across multiple media.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in animation, video production, and digital design will be highly regarded.
