The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5 km section of the North-South Corridor. This project aims to create a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The scope includes a 10.5 km motorway, over 4 km of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations. Scheduled to open in 2031, the T2D alliance offers an exciting opportunity for Adelaide's community to be part of an iconic project, providing career stability and opportunities for progression and development.
The role
Are you an experienced senior project engineer with a background in tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations?
We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering one of the most complex tunneling projects in the southern hemisphere.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinate TBM tunneling works, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
2. Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and program requirements are met.
3. Interface with design, construction, and logistics teams to ensure seamless TBM operations.
4. Report on project progress, costs, and risks.
5. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support across the site team.
6. Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, and project-specific standards.
About you
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in major tunneling projects, with a focus on TBM works.
* Proven experience in delivering underground infrastructure on time and within budget.
* Strong understanding of geotechnical conditions, segmental lining, and tunneling logistics.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
