The role is to improve operational efficiency and provide technical support. This involves developing a process improvement framework, standardizing the assessment of grinding and burning assets, and benchmarking performance across the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience in grinding, pyro-processing, and alternative fuels, as well as certifications in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies. They must be able to analyze data, conduct root cause analysis, and propose innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering and managing a process improvement framework
* Developing asset performance assessment tools for grinding and burning operations
* Standardizing the assessment of grinding and burning assets and developing tools for site distribution
* Benchmarking performance of grinding and burning assets across the business
* Conducting thermal and electrical energy assessments and developing improvement plans to reduce costs
* Providing coaching and guidance on optimization and operation of burning and grinding processes to engineers and production personnel
* Investigating and implementing new technologies for monitoring and controlling grinding and burning operations
Requirements:
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline
* Certifications in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
* Extensive experience in grinding, pyro-processing, and alternative fuels
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work across different locations as needed
