Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Identify client needs, ensure they are met and manage after sales service
- Proactively maintain and develop effective multi-level and multi-activity sales and business relationships with all customers across the business
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and effective sales strategies
- Provide a professional service to all clients and suppliers
- Expand the number of products and services bought by each customer
- Maintain current company customer databases
- Assist the Supply Manager in accurate forecasting of product requirements
Business Growth
- Promote and develop business growth and the company profile by proactively identifying opportunities, canvassing customers, promoting company services, products and initiatives across all activities
- Maintain effective relationships with other team members through ongoing communication of knowledge and information to pre-empt demand for products and sales opportunities
- Promote and represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at relevant industry meetings, conferences and seminars, in-store days, etc.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and key regional industry personnel
- Provide market intelligence on industry trends, marketing trends, competitor activities and strategies
Division / Branch Support
- Provide appropriate assistance and support to other Division / Branch activities
- Assist in the planning and budgeting process
- Ensure that all designated KRAs in relation to the Division / Branch budget are met or exceeded, including:
- Profit contribution, Expense to GP%
- Debtors P2/P3
- Provide activity performance reports as required
Branch Planning & Budgeting
- Assist in the planning and budgeting process
- Professional Development
- Achieve and maintain a sufficient level of knowledge and skill in relation to the wider range of company products and services so as to facilitate referrals for other Activities
- Achieve and maintain a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills and knowledge and remain abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise Develop staff knowledge regarding the activity products and services
- Provide mentoring to assigned Graduates and Trainees
- Develop sales and account management skills
Staff Performance Management - Supervisory roles only
- Manage the performance of supervised employees to ensure they meet their performance objectives
- Facilitate and prescribe activity employee development opportunities to enhance their capabilities
- Assist in the development of succession and career plans
EH&S; and Compliance
- Abide by EH&S; policies and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Company policies and relevant legislation to ensure compliance to limit liability
- Comply with manufacturer and company requirements with hazardous substances
