About this Role
This newly created role will lead financial strategy, planning, and governance for NSW Ambulance, ensuring sustainable financial performance and compliance in a complex, high-profile environment. As Director, Finance, you will:
* Provide strategic financial advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team.
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract management functions.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
* Build strong relationships with NSW Treasury, shared services, and government stakeholders.
* Manage a team of senior finance professionals and oversee an organisational expenditure budget of approximately $1.5 billion.
This is an ongoing, full‑time, Band 1 HSSE role. The remuneration package ranges from $251,070 to $276,016 per annum (SOORT 2025) and is subject to performance reviews.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in financial management within a large, complex organisation.
* Strong leadership capability and ability to influence at the highest levels.
* Expertise in financial governance, risk management, and compliance.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and membership of a recognised Australian accounting body.
