* We are seeking a talented PhD student to develop novel approaches to extracting meaningful information from the published scientific literature using machine learning and computational linguistics techniques.

The ideal candidate has a strong undergraduate honours degree in Computer Science or a related field, with prior experience in research projects, good communication and writing skills, and a willingness to learn and collaborate.
This PhD studentship focuses on relation and event extraction, co-reference resolution, and semantics analysis of tables from the published scientific literature. The successful candidate will acquire expertise in the biochemical domain or expand existing knowledge in biology or chemistry.
