The Role:
This organisation is seeking a Finance Officer to join their finance team. Reporting into the Corporate Finance Manager, you will play a key role in contributing to effective financial operations and maintenance of the integrity of the accounting system. Responsibilities of the role include:
* Generating timely financial reports and statements for the organisation in relation to team/unit revenue and expenditure performance and management reporting
* Preparing periodic reconciliations as required to ensure internal and external audit compliance
* Supporting month end processes e.g. journals, accruals, prepayments and other necessary adjustments.
* Preparing purchase requisitions
* Maintaining the accounting system (Technology One)
Your Profile:
* Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, or similar role
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups)
* Demonstrated ability to achieve deadlines within agreed timeframes
* Ability to prioritise competing priorities
* Continuous improvement of work practices, systems, and processes
* Experience with TechnologyOne ideal
