We are seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, organising and overseeing a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet safety, regulatory and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, plan, organise and oversee the construction of civil engineering projects such as dams, bridges, pipelines, sewerage systems, roads, airports, gas and water supply schemes, and other structures.
* Analyse the behaviour of soil and rock under pressure to design structural foundations.
* Analyse the statistical and structural properties of structures, and test the behaviour and durability of construction materials.
* Plan and develop transportation systems and related civil infrastructure.
* Prepare cost estimates, monitor construction expenses, and review project budgets.
* Supervise construction and operation of civil engineering works to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards and regulations.
* Manage project documentation, prepare reports, and liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
* Hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
* Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Highly Desirable
* Demonstrated experience in civil engineering roles.
* Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering team and manage multiple project requirements.
* Knowledge of Australian building codes, engineering standards and WHS regulations.
* Registration or eligibility for registration may be required depending on project requirements.
