**About the Company**
BGC's Materials Technology Centre is a centralized NATA accredited technology hub using the latest LIMS software, specialized purpose built testing equipment and facilities to provide accurate and timely test results to enable the delivery of our client's initiatives and strategies.
**About the Role**
As a Materials Technician with MTC you will flex your construction materials testing skills in both the field and laboratory. We are a busy team and offer the opportunity to develop testing experience across all materials testing including concrete, cement, aggregate and asphalt. This opportunity will suit an individual who enjoys being hands on and doesn't mind getting dirty! Overtime and the ability to work nights may be required on occasion. Experience is preferred however on the job training will be provided.

**include**:
- Completing testing of various materials in both the field and laboratory
- Undertaking quality assurance, quality control and client requested testing
- Conducting analytical and physical testing with specific testing equipment and methodologies
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ensuring strict adherence to respective test methods and standards
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records
**Skills and Experience**:
- Experience within the concrete, asphalt and/or aggregates industries
- Certificate III in Laboratory Skills (or equivalent) is highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience working with, Australian Standards, NATA ISO 17025 Certificate and Quality Assurance Standards
- Intermediate computer literacy, and exposure to Laboratory Management software
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well autonomously within a team environment
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- Highly developed analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current WA White Card
- Current WA Driver's Licence
