Join to apply for the APS 6 - Procurement Business Partner role at National Library of Australia

As a world leading library, the National Library of Australia offers an innovative and collaborative workplace where exceptional team players and technical specialists can flourish. As part of the Library’s team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library’s future.

The Library is seeking to fill a ongoing Procurement Business Partner APS 6 role in the Program Management Office & Procurement (PMO) Section of the Corporate Branch.

The Procurement & Contract Management function is structured using a ‘Business Partnering’ model, where individual team members are primarily responsible for their allocated Library Branches (six in total). The team works flexibly within this model to ensure that we can respond appropriately to changes in priority and capacity.

We are looking for someone who can contribute to maturing the Procurement and Contract Management function, brings procurement expertise to improve outcomes, and works pragmatically with stakeholders to uplift their capability.

As our ideal candidate you will have a desire to lift and improve procurement and contract management knowledge and capability across the organisation.

With your expert knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, and your strong communication skills, you will provide specialist advice to a diverse range of stakeholders, with varying levels of understanding.

To succeed in this role you will preferably have:

* (or be working toward) Cert IV or Diploma in Procurement and Contracting
* Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the Australian Government Contract Management Guide
* Proficiency in common digital based applications such as MS Teams and TechnologyOne.

We encourage and welcome applications from people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.
