QHSE Manager – Australia (Perth or Sale)

About WellGear
WellGear is expanding rapidly across Australia. We deliver safe, efficient and innovative well intervention and decommissioning solutions. For our regional operations, we are seeking an experienced and highly professional Regional QHSE Manager to strengthen our team.
Role Purpose
The Regional QHSE Manager is responsible for leading, implementing and continuously improving the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) management systems across the assigned region. The role ensures regulatory compliance, operational quality and a strong culture of safety while providing support to project teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead incident investigations and ensure learnings are documented and shared.
* Prepare and coordinate HSE communications and emergency drills.
* Maintain high standards of quality assurance and documentation accuracy.
* Conduct internal and supplier audits and follow up on required actions.
* Support project documentation, including SQPs and HSE plans.
* Provide QHSE coaching and guidance to operational teams.
* Ensure compliance with regional legislation and WellGear standards.
* Manage MOC, NCR and continuous improvement processes.
* Facilitate risk assessments and ensure implementation of control measures.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' QHSE experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
* Strong communication, analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* High attention to detail and professional reporting skills.
* Able to work proactively and independently in a dynamic environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Experience of working under NOPSEMA regulations preferred
Practical Information
* Duration: Until the end of 2026, with possibility of extension.
* Travel: Occasional domestic travel and offshore visits required.
* Start date: As soon as possible.
