Unqualified Home Care Worker — Churches of Christ, Home Care Service, Townsville. Casual opportunity. Hourly rate $30 per hour, plus reimbursement of $0.96 per KM.
About the Role

As an Unqualified Home Care Worker, you'll join a supportive and values-driven team based at St James Retirement Home in Townsville. Responsible and dedicated to helping older Australians live safely and independently in their own homes.
Responsibilities
* Cleaning, meal prep and housekeeping to keep homes safe and welcoming
* Available from 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday
* Domestic support (laundry, cooking, cleaning, household tasks)
* Offering friendly social support and transport to appointments, shopping or community outings
* Observing and reporting changes – ensure care plans are up to date, keeping accurate records and reporting health changes to our team
Join a small, growth-focused leadership team, working independently in the field to help deliver high-quality care.
What You'll Need
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
* A current driver's licence
* A comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
* Competent in the use of a Smart Phone
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
* A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
