As a Senior Project Lead at Return to Work Victoria (RTWV), you'll take the helm of high-impact projects that support injured workers on their path to recovery. The projects you may be leading may influence everything from health and compensation to premiums, self-insurance and beyond, helping to build a system that is supportive, efficient and future-focused.
In this role, you'll lead passionate project teams, bring strategic initiatives to life, and deliver improvements across people, processes and systems. Your leadership will directly contribute to our organisation's key performance priorities, including prevention, return-to-work outcomes, service excellence and financial sustainability.
You'll partner closely with business leaders across RTWV to uncover opportunities for positive change, whether it's enhancing policy, redesigning programs or refining processes. From concept to implementation, you'll shape plans that align with our strategic direction and elevate outcomes across the scheme.
Success in this role calls for someone adaptable, curious and ready to collaborate. You'll undertake critical delivery functions interchangeable, from analysis to change management, responding with agility to support the evolving needs of the scheme.

Key accountabilities
* Lead and manage the development of relevant projects to support the RTWV Business Unit and WorkSafe's strategic programs, including Agent based initiatives. Initiates, establishes and maintains key strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders promoting RTWV's key objectives
* Undertake the role of Project Management, some business analysis and change management activities interchangeably, with the purpose of leading the business through transformation and supporting impacted areas through change.
* Develop robust Business Cases based on research with clear and sound justification towards recommended options, anticipating opportunities, benefits, risk, interdependencies and financial considerations.
* Systematically research and conduct in-depth analysis of complex data and information, using various analytical techniques to propose systematic solution options to specific issues.
* Identify and work with stakeholders to make recommendations in regard to their involvement/influence on project outcomes. Determine the best approach to implement new or changed policy and make strategic recommendations accordingly.
* Identify impacts on operations, clients and stakeholders and make recommendations to influence on project outcomes, as well as contributing to the overall RTWV Business Unit's planning and strategy, including the risk management framework.
* Lead or participate in strategic project reviews relating to scheme viability, market trends and developments, streamlining of policies / work practices and any other issues related to current and future operations.
You are an experienced project lead with a strong background in project management methodologies. Your communication, negotiation and organisational skills are highly developed, and your strong interpersonal skills allow you to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:
* Experience leading and managing medium to large scale projects, with demonstrated use of strong project management methodology to deliver outcomes.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills to analyse ambiguous information to formulate solutions to address emerging issues and support strategic decision making.
* Excellent written and presentation skills to explain highly complex concepts, contentious or sensitive issues and information where high levels of negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
* Understanding of change management principles, how to influence to gain acceptance of change, and ability to manage stakeholders through change.
* Ability to research best practice and developments across industries and jurisdictions to identify improvement opportunities and develop business cases for change.
* Understanding of WorkSafe's operating environment and systems, including the agent model and WorkSafe's Project Management Framework, or ability to acquire is desirable.
Qualifications
* Tertiary education in project management and/or business analyst or at least 3 years industry experience together with relevant tertiary education in a business related discipline preferred.
* Project Management certification (i.e. Prince2, agile or waterfall delivery methods) desirable.
