Job description
Assist the DDTS ICT UNIX, Linux and Database team to perform day-to-day system and database administration for a range of servers and midrange systems and provide reports to management at regular intervals for use in system planning and Service Level Agreement reconciliation.
Work with senior and junior UNIX, Linux and Database administrators to develop, implement and administer effective systems and processes relating to the Oracle platform and databases.
Assist in reporting and monitoring tasks relating to the ACT Governments UNIX, Linux and Database environments.
Work with application support specialists to troubleshoot Oracle based Database platforms, including identifying and treating risks and developing and maintaining proactive monitoring tools.
Designing, developing and maintaining Oracle based solutions that utilise Oracle DB, Oracle Fusion and Weblogic middleware, Oracle API using ORDS and EBS Business suite R12.
Designing and developing Linux based solutions utilising tools such as Ansible and Oracle OLAM.
Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis.
Installation and configuration of bespoke and standard software.
Planning, design, documentation, implementation, and support of project work.
Writing and editing documentation such as SoPs and incident response.
