Teacher – Design and Technology
Permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, **** at Hedland SHS, an independent public school in the Pilbara serving Years 7-12.

Role Overview
The Design and Technology Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction, create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and develop students for real-world careers in trades, industry and enterprise. The role involves teaching a range of courses from Certificate Levels to Senior Secondary, supporting student engagement, curriculum differentiation, and pathway planning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and assess engaging Design and Technology lessons across Years 7-12.
Differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of students of varying ability.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate industry, enterprise and pathways into the curriculum.
Reflect on teaching practice, use assessment data and promote a culture of high achievement.
Support student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance.
Participate in professional learning, mentoring and school meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Experience teaching Certificate courses, Engineering Studies or Senior Secondary.
Strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and SCSA requirements.
Evidence of positive student outcomes, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residence, or valid work rights.
Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
