The position has three direct reports and responsibility for up to 25 staff (including contracted services)You'll also guide FCNSW's general land management obligations (vertebrate pest and weed management) which will require you to deal with a range of stakeholders from individuals to multinational corporations on issues including forest recreation, permitted activities (such as hunting, mining and mine exploration) and neighbour engagement ; this role is not just about the trees — it's about managing an entire landscape with purpose and integrity.We would love you to have/be:Robust background in firefighting and fire managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skills — you're a people person who can work with everyone from field crew, local communities, and high level external and internal stakeholders.
