We’re now launching our 24/7 Operational Hub — and we’re looking for two Night Managers to lead NHG’s overnight operations.
This isn’t a passive night shift. It’s a mobile, hands-on leadership role where you’ll be central to staff welfare, compliance, and rapid response while most of the country sleeps.
As Night Manager, you will:
* Provide visible leadership with randomised overnight site visits, ensuring welfare, standards, and compliance.
* Manage rosters in real time — covering dropped shifts, late call-ins, and redeployments.
* Respond to and escalate overnight incidents, from staffing to client emergencies.
* Conduct early-morning aviation checks at key client locations.
* Liaise closely with the 24/7 Hub, reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Client Services Managers.
* This role is critical to NHG’s overnight integrity and operational excellence.
You’ll work with:
* Guard House, HubSpot, Employment Hero, ASANA, Microsoft Suite
* Radio dispatch, call escalations, GPS fleet tracking
* Operational protocols aligned with Fair Work, aviation standards, and site safety
About You:
* Reliable, mobile, and confident working autonomously at night
* Calm under pressure with strong communication and emotional intelligence
* Structured, accountable, and quick to problem-solve
* Driven by purpose — every shift matters, and you treat it that way
What Success Looks Like:
* Month 1: Complete induction/licensing, learn NHG systems, shadow site visits
* Month 2: Lead welfare checks and all overnight rostering decisions independently
* Month 3: Implement SOPs for night transitions and escalation frameworks, achieving full coverage of night events and emergencies
Skills & Requirements
Essential
* Leadership presence and strong interpersonal skills
* Background in security, operations, emergency services, or high-risk environments
* Ability to hold or obtain:
* NT Security Officer Licence
* NT Crowd Controller Licence
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
* Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Desirable
* Scheduling/operations experience in 24/7 environments
* Veteran-led or compliance-driven industry background
* Familiarity with Fair Work award conditions
