I am currently partnered with a globally recognised company across Utilities, Energy, and Resources. They are the contract owner on a Power Station here in the South West in WA and they are looking for an Operations Manager to support see out the back-end of Life of the Plant.

Purpose

As
Operations Manager
, you will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and performance of all operational activities at the Power Station. Reporting directly to the Station Manager, your goal will be to ensure optimal plant performance, safety compliance, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

* Lead, manage and develop Operations team
* Oversee all aspects of the plant operations
* Drive efficiency improvements and plant performance optimisation
* Deliver operational and contractual targets effectively within agreed budgets
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and health & safety standards.
* Collaborate with other teams to deliver seamless and reliable power generation.
* Assist with outage planning, execution, and recovery processes
* Assist with operational budgets preparation and manage cost control initiatives.

Background

* Significant previous experience within the Power generation industry
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field) or relevant trade qualification
* Deep technical understanding of thermal power generation processes and systems
* Previous experience in a senior operations or plant management role
* Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent knowledge of operational safety, environmental, and compliance standards.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
