About the Opportunity
As the Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of environmental health services across Murrumbidgee and Southern NSW Local Health Districts. This role focuses on identifying, investigating, monitoring and managing environmental health hazards, while ensuring compliance with public health legislation and delivering high-quality public health outcomes.
As the Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Leading and managing the environmental health team, including human and financial resources
* Overseeing and undertaking regulatory activities in line with public and environmental health legislation
* Identifying, investigating, monitoring and managing environmental health hazards across the Districts
* Designing and delivering programs to prevent, control and manage environmental health risks
* Leading investigations and evaluating public and environmental health initiatives
* Contributing to the development of legislation, standards, guidelines and protocols
