Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking an experienced Sales Representative (Industrial Products) to join our team.
Position Overview
The Sales Representative (Industrial Products) is responsible for promoting and selling technical and industrial products to commercial and industrial customers. The role requires a strong combination of technical product knowledge, consultative sales capability, and relationship management to deliver tailored solutions and support customers throughout the sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within allocated territories and industry sectors.
* Build, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
* Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings for customers.
* Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate industrial products and systems.
* Liaise with internal engineering and technical teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
* Provide post-sale technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training where required.
* Prepare quotes, proposals, tenders, and contractual documentation in line with company policies.
* Maintain accurate customer and sales records using CRM systems.
* Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates.
* Attend client meetings, site visits, trade shows, and industry events as required.
Skills and Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience in technical or solution-based sales within an industrial or commercial environment.
* Strong technical understanding of industrial products and systems (e.g. generators, power or energy-related equipment).
* Proven ability to identify customer needs and deliver effective, tailored solutions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in sales, engineering, electrical, mechanical, or a related technical discipline will be highly regarded.
Salary
$76,515 per annum + superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
