Imaging assistant

Melbourne
Perth Radiological Clinic
Posted: 18 March
Offer description

Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) is WA's largest private medical imaging provider, with 1,250 staff, more than 20 clinics and hospital sites, and over 140 radiologists. We deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services using the latest technology and some of the best medical professionals in the industry.

About the role

We are seeking motivated and patient-focused Imaging Assistants to join our clinical team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Working across MRI, CT, and other imaging modalities, you will play a vital hands‐on role in supporting our radiologists and imaging technicians to deliver an exceptional patient experience every day.

This is a role where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a fast‐paced, highly skilled team that takes real pride in the quality of care they deliver — and you'll be expected to bring the same commitment.

Key responsibilities

* Preparing patients for MRI, CT, and other imaging examinations, including safety screening, positioning, and correct use of coils and equipment
* Drawing up and administering contrast agents and assisting with cannula removal under appropriate supervision (training provided)
* Managing daily booking lists and workflow to ensure the clinic runs efficiently and on time
* Keeping radiologists and clinical staff informed of any changes to the daily schedule
* Supporting radiographers and sonographers during examinations and procedures including FNAs, biopsies, and injections
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‐stocked clinical environment at all times
* Performing billing, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and in accordance with PRC protocols
* Ensuring compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and OHS requirements at all times

About you

You are a reliable, team-oriented professional who takes patient care seriously and thrives in a busy clinical environment. You will bring:

* A degree in a science-related discipline — this is a requirement of the role due to the performance of DEXA examinations
* Previous experience in a medical imaging, clinical, or healthcare support role
* Knowledge of MRI, CT, or general imaging environments — experience across multiple modalities will be highly regarded
* A strong understanding of medical emergency procedures, CPR, and patient safety protocols
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
* Outstanding communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient care
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
* Experience with contrast agents, injector pumps, or sterile trolley preparation will be a significant advantage.

Benefits

* The opportunity to work alongside some of WA's leading radiologists and imaging specialists
* Exposure to a broad range of imaging modalities and clinical environments
* A supportive team culture that invests in your professional development
* Paid parental leave and other generous leave benefits
* Corporate discounts on health insurance, retail, and lifestyle services
* Subsidised parking available
* Flexible working arrangements in a professional and dynamic workplace

Our commitment to diversity

We're committed to building a workplace that reflects the diverse community we serve. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disabilities, and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

How to apply

If you're passionate about patient care and want to be part of WA's leading radiology practice, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role.
