The Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality nursing support, identify patients appropriate for the service, triage promptly and provide front line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care Medical Practitioner. Your Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care — triage every patient with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
* Conduct thorough nursing triage — quickly assess needs and prioritise care for best outcomes.
* Act decisively in critical moments — identify and escalate emergencies or deterioration to safeguard health.
* Put clinical skills to work — perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering in a fast-paced environment.
* Thrive in a dynamic setting — demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to urgent care challenges.
* Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care — collaborate with patients, families, carers, and practitioners to ensure supportive care.
* Help patients reach health goals — support and guide them toward optimal clinical outcomes.

* Maintain meticulous documentation — complete patient records accurately and promptly to support continuity of care.

About You
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Must be available evenings and weekends.
* Minimum experience (one of the following):
*
• 3 years in an Emergency Department setting OR
*
• 3 years of triage experience OR
*
• 3 years in ICU, CCU, rural or remote nursing.
* Preferred: previous experience in triage with an emergency department or remote nursing.
* Working with Children's check and National Police check if not already obtained.
* Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
* A passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach.
