Your new role
MacKellar is seeking a Financial Compliance Analyst to support and strengthen our financial control environment. Reporting to the Financial Compliance Manager, this role plays a key part in designing, documenting and implementing a SOX-aligned compliance framework across the business.
You will support the business in implementing a SOX effective compliance framework, working closely with Finance and Operations stakeholders, and contribute to audits, risk assessments and remediation activities. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a structured compliance environment while partnering with the business to drive practical outcomes.
Key responsibilities
* Assist with SOX control design, documentation, testing and remediation activities
* Liaise with Finance and Operations teams to embed the SOX Compliance Framework for Mackellar
* Prepare audit documentation and coordinate responses to external auditors
* Devise and maintain process maps, control registers and compliance documentation
* Support fraud and financial risk assessments and compliance reporting
* Contribute to compliance training, awareness and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
* CPA/CA part-qualified or currently working towards qualification
* 3–5 years' experience in financial compliance, internal controls or external audit
* Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting (SOX exposure highly regarded)
* Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
* Excellent attention to detail, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
