At Impos, we have been developing point of sale systems since October 2005 and in the past decade, we have grown to become the leading POS provider to the Australian hospitality industry. Our team is based all over Australia and we are currently looking for a Melbourne based Junior Developer to join our team.
Summary of Position:
As the Junior Developer, you will be responsible for implementing, testing, and documenting functionality within the software environment. This includes bug reports and issues escalated by support staff, as well as those discovered during internal testing and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain software.
* Implementation of new feature sets.
* Analysis and optimisation of existing systems.
* Assist with testing.
* Participate in project related planning including sprints and workload estimation.
* Assist with resolving escalated customer software issues.
* Report daily on development activities.
* Follow defined software development processes and standards.
Skills & Qualifications desired:
* Degree qualification in Computer Systems/Software Development or similar.
* Some technical knowledge of the following would be advantageous: (.NET stack including C# and VB.NET, SQL Server, WPF).
* Previous knowledge of bug tracking software - desirable.
* Knowledge of developing mobile friendly web applications - desirable.
* Knowledge of modern IDEs - desirable.
* Ability to use version control software - desirable.
* Agile/Scrum development process exposure.
* Must have an ability to develop technical knowledge and skills.
