Overview
Salary: Up to $90,000 p.a. (pro rata) depending on experience
Contract: 6–12 Months
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team on a part-time contract basis. This is a 3-day-per-week, hybrid role for 6–12 months, with flexibility on hours and the possibility to extend. The role reports to the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will support core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll assistance, and general accounting functions.
Responsibilities
* Set up and maintain supplier accounts and reconciliation
* Process supplier invoices and credit card statements
* Payments processing, including authorisation process
* Bank reconciliation including daily AR receipts
* Regular maintenance of direct debit payments
* Customer queries / receipts / billing support / management reporting
* Ad hoc duties as required
Knowledge and Experience / Qualifications
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to effectively manage time and priorities
* Demonstrated adaptability to change and ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment
* Intermediate computer skills including Excel and familiar with Accounting Software and general ledger accounting concepts
* At least 1 year's experience with AR, AP and general accounting
