We are currently seeking a Part Time Community Wellbeing Assistant for a temporary 6 month position working 25 hours per week with an immediate start located in Cloverdale.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Coordinator Community Wellbeing and committees, as required.
- Assist in developing communication networks between local sporting and recreation organisations and the City of Belmont.
- Assist the Leisure Services Section in the preparation and delivery of community events.
- Provide information and assistance to clubs and organisations on funding opportunities that will assist in supporting the sustainability of the KidSport program.
- Report to the City of Belmont and the Department of Sport and Recreation on activities and progress made, major issues and status of the KidSport Program as required.
- Liaise on a regular basis and establish links with local and key sport and recreation stakeholders.
- Provide information and assistance to the Belmont community and stakeholders on participation in Leisure programs.
- Assist with programming and promoting community involvement in sport and recreation.
- Attend to telephone and general enquires from the public and staff.
- Administer booking arrangements for seasonal sporting clubs in conjunction with the Facilities & Property Department.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Coordinator Community Wellbeing, within the scope and level of this position.
Position requirements:
Essential
- Previous relevant administrative experience, preferably working in a similar environment.
- Good organisational and administrative skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks to achieve strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and groups to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service.
- Good written communication skills including the ability to undertake basic research tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and autonomously, under mínimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement when required.
- Possession of or ability to acquire, a current motor vehicle driver's licence.
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate (dated within the last twelve months).
Desirable
- Previous relevant experience working with sporting clubs.
- Demonstrated understanding of community organisations.
