Job Description
The Principal Environmental Officer will be responsible for undertaking statutory assessment functions for mineral mining and downstream mineral mining projects across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment and decision making around applications relating to environmental authorities, progressive rehabilitation and closure plans and estimated rehabilitation costs.
* Undertaking industrial and mining processes related to geology and/or geochemistry.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in geology and/or geochemistry.
* Experience in industrial and mining processes.
* Understanding of matters such as mining waste management, storage and disposal.

Location:
The role may be undertaken from our Office locations at either Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane, but you may be required to travel to other locations, including overnight.
