Project Manager Roles Available
We are seeking expressions of interest for upcoming roles for Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in Queensland.
The ideal candidate will have proven project delivery experience and be ready to take on greater responsibility and contribute to complex programs and infrastructure projects—particularly within the defence or broader government sector.
About The Role:
This is a key opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support strategic outcomes. You'll collaborate with a supportive and experienced team, engage with a broad range of stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering high-impact projects from planning through to completion.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage projects through all stages of the lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
2. Ensure all procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules
3. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders through regular engagement
4. Manage project documentation and reporting in accordance with Defence and APP Group standards
5. Deliver outcomes on time and within budget, with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement
6. Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely closeout
7. Capture and share lessons learned to enhance future project delivery
Key Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management); postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
9. Must currently hold (and be able to maintain) a minimum Baseline Security Clearance
10. Proven experience managing projects, ideally within defence of government sector
11. Experience in program and project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile
12. Understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards
13. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
