Loganlea State High School and Woodridge State School are seeking Expressions of Interest for a joint Workplace Health and Safety (WPHS) Advisor / AO4 Human Resources Officer position shared across both schools.

This is a 5 day per week position split across two sites: Loganlea State High School - WPHS Advisor (2 days per week); Woodridge State School - WPHS Advisor and AO4 HR Officer (3 days per week).

The role will support both schools to maintain safe workplaces and provide operational human resources support to school leadership teams.

Woodridge State School is a richly diverse and dynamic community, with students from over 30 different nations sharing classrooms with Indigenous Australian and other Australian born students. Critical to the school's success is balancing the acute social and emotional needs of many highly vulnerable children, while delivering vital education outcomes.

We have a proud history of supporting personalised learning and achievement of negotiated outcomes, and offer wellbeing, inclusion and Pathways suited to our student's individual needs.

Step Into Your Next Chapter

* Utilise departmental systems and tools (e.g. TSS, online systems, Excel) to retrieve and analyse workforce data to support workforce planning.
* Develop, maintain and analyse HR reports and maintain accurate and confidential records.
* Provide operational support across a range of HR and payroll policies, procedures and practices.
* Coordinate HR processes including workforce planning, recruitment and selection, workplace reform and staff leave administration.
* Monitor and administer the school's School Budget Solution (SBS) yearly profile, credits, usage and staff leave.
* Provide HR advice to staff regarding employment conditions, Awards, Certified Agreements and entitlements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies and directives.
* Assist in identifying staff development needs and coordinate staff training, development and wellbeing initiatives.
* Research contemporary HR practices and provide recommendations in collaboration with the Business Manager.
