Role Overview
Support the kitchen team by performing essential back-of-house duties such as cleaning, dishwashing, basic food prep support, packing, general kitchen assistance, and occasional local stock deliveries.
Core Responsibilities
Kitchen & Cleaning Support
* Clean kitchen and food prep areas (benches, sinks, floors).
* Wash dishes, containers, utensils and basic equipment.
* Clear and tidy workstations.
Basic Food Prep Assistance
* Wash and prepare simple ingredients under instruction.
* Assist with basic food assembly and portioning as directed.
Packing & Support
* Pack catering boxes and trays accurately with correct labelling.
* Assist with receiving stock and storing supplies.
Driver Support (Occasional)
* Deliver stock locally in Food2U vehicles as needed.
* Ensure safe handling of stock and timely delivery.
* Valid driver's licence required; additional duties will be scheduled with notice.
Follow Instructions & Standards
* Follow hygienic food handling and safety practices.
* Adhere to standard operating procedures and supervisor directions.

Pay & Conditions
* Starting wage at or above the applicable minimum rate; this is a base/starting rate only and may change depending on duties and classification level. You may be entitled to a higher hourly rate for a higher classfication of job performed.
* Pay will reflect the actual duties performed.
* Usual entitlements (penalty rates for weekends/public holidays, superannuation, etc.) apply.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: From $24.95 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Derwent Park TAS 7009: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
* Kitchen Hand: 1 year (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Full Driver Licence (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
