The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the commercial and operational performance of a high-impact services business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and operations - where accurate data, sharp analysis, and proactive support can directly influence frontline outcomes.
Your responsibilities will span core financial processes as well as project-based and strategic activities, including but not limited to:
* Supporting month-end processes, including revenue and cost accruals, reconciliations, and performance commentary
* Providing detailed variance analysis against forecast, budget, and trend data
* Partnering with operational and commercial teams to support tenders, capital investment proposals, and business case development
* Working closely with project teams to establish and manage cost budgets
* Assisting with the development and ongoing management of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
* Tracking actuals and variances for capex projects (labour and materials), highlighting risks or overruns
* Identifying process improvement opportunities and delivering financial insights that support operational efficiency
* Providing finance guidance to site-based teams and delivering high-quality service to stakeholders across business units
This is a visible and hands-on role, where your ability to communicate clearly, think commercially, and engage proactively with non-finance stakeholders will make you a true partner to the business.

You bring structure and clarity to financial operations, and you’re comfortable partnering with both head office and site-based teams. Whether it’s month-end, capex modelling, or supporting tenders, you bring calm, precision, and professionalism to the table.
* You have the mindset of a business partner - curious, collaborative, and keen to understand what drives performance on the ground
* Comfortable working independently and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to bridge finance and operations effectively
Skills & Experience
* CA/CPA qualified or progressing toward completion
* Public practise first mover from business services or commercially experienced
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage competing deadlines
