We are
seeking a capable and driven Operations Manager to lead the Operations team in
Gingin, WA. Located only an hour's drive from Perth, Gingin offers the perfect balance of country living and city convenience. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this hands-on role is focused on
leading and overseeing the daily and weekly operational targets through partnership,
collaboration and assistance with the Horticulture and Harvest areas. This is a
unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, playing a critical role
in ensuring a successful season and driving operational excellence.
Key
Responsibilities
* Lead High-Performance
Teams: Lead
and inspire high-performance teams by coaching and developing staff to
achieve operational targets by optimizing resources for maximum efficiency
whilst building a positive and accountable team culture.
* Operational Excellence:Drive
continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes, reduce costs,
and maximise profitability. Challenge the norm and encourage innovative
thinking.
* Budget and Performance:Manage
production budgets, performance targets, and reporting.
* Collaborative
Partnerships: Foster
strong relationships with cross functional teams and external stakeholders
to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
* Regulatory Compliance: Champion health and
safety, quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
The
successful candidate will have:
* Tertiary
training in Horticulture (degree or diploma) desirable.
* Minimum
of 5 years' experience in a similar role, FMCG knowledge or relevant
agricultural experience (preferred).
* Demonstrated
leadership experience, people management, and team building skills (and
the ability to motivate, develop, and foster teamwork).
* Demonstrated
project management, planning, and time management skills.
* High
levels of attention to detail.
* Ability
to focus and balance multiple tasks and interruptions to achieve delegated
tasks within agreed timeframes.
* Ability
to identify and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
* Strong
analytical and risk management skills.
* Good
computer literacy with a focus on Excel and Word
