An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dedicated Cellar Supervisor to join our team.
The Company
Kingston Estate is family owned and comprises of our Winery based in the Riverland, office and warehouse in Adelaide and 14 Vineyard sites across South Australia and Victoria. Our vision is to be the leading grower and producer of Australian wine for the world.
The Role
Based at our Winery in the Riverland, this full‑time position is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to Cellar Hands and endorsing effective and safe Cellar operations.
Typical duties of this role include:
* Supervise and lead a team of up to 40 people
* Follow and enforce all WHS policies and procedures
* Maintain and improve efficiency and quality
* Mentor and train staff
* Ensure adherence to SOPs and develop accordingly
* Lead team meetings
* Daily work scheduling and delegation
* Ensure equipment is maintained at all times.
* Show strong leadership qualities and develop a strong culture within the team.
* Have good communication skills to ensure daily targets are met
* Navigate through computer systems to ensure record keeping is accurate
* Observe and maintain all critical control points and quality control points
Qualifications
Qualifications in Wine Industry Operations and Management will be highly regarded.
Skills and Experience
* Certificate 3 in Food Processing
* Certificate 4 in Frontline Management (desirable)
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Use of Microsoft applications
* High attention to detail and sound technical knowledge
* Confined Space
