Role Overview
We are seeking a capable and motivated Site Engineer to join our civil construction team. This role plays a key part in the successful delivery of projects by supporting site operations, engineering requirements, and coordination between crews, subcontractors, and project management. This position offers a strong balance between site‐based and technical engineering work, with the opportunity to be actively involved on site rather than being office‐bound.
Key Responsibilities
* Surveying, set‐out, and verification of civil works
* Assisting with planning, programming, and daily site coordination
* Managing site documentation including RFIs, variations, and as‐builts
* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams
* Monitoring work quality, quantities, and progress on site
* Supporting health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
* Assisting with cost tracking and reporting alongside project and commercial teams
Skills & Experience
* Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in civil construction (earthworks, roading, or 3‐waters preferred)
* Competence in survey and construction set‐out methods
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‐solving skills
* Practical, proactive approach with a willingness to be site‐based
* Full NZ driver's licence
