All locations considered.PermanentSalary from 94,198 + 15.4% superannuationApplications close at 11:59pm ADST/AEST, Friday 20 June 2025The teamThe Superannuation and Life Insurance team at ASIC is primarily responsible for regulating and supervising the superannuation and life insurance sectors to ensure compliance with laws and promote good outcomes for consumers. This involves proactive engagement, monitoring, analysis, research, surveillance, supervision, and stakeholder engagement. The team provides strategic direction, industry knowledge, and technical expertise, considers applications for relief from legislative requirements, supports regulatory reform activities, and assists other ASIC teams in enforcement and compliance actions.The roleAn Analyst/Lawyer at ASIC identifies and addresses regulatory issues within their sector to ensure compliance and improve consumer outcomes. They support law reform affecting our regulated population and contribute to strategies that align with ASIC's vision and objectives.In Addition, You Will BeUndertaking data-driven supervision across the sector to ensure adherence with the law and promote better outcomes for consumers.Identifying, assessing, and actioning regulatory issues to promote adherence with the law and better outcomes for consumers.Drafting regulatory instruments and documents, such as public reports at the end of thematic surveillance projects.Liaising and engaging with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory issues and encouraging improvements in industry practice.Conducting research and analysis on emerging issues across the sector and contributing to reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management and external stakeholders.Assisting the Leadership team with the implementation of policy and law reform, including developing new guidance, training, systems, and processes.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with ability to deliver results. Join us to shape the future of financial regulation and drive innovative solutions for better consumer outcomes.Relevant tertiary qualification and ability to acquire regulatory and sector-related knowledge.Experience in assessing, challenging, and authenticating complex information, making sound regulatory judgments, and presenting information to different audiences.Strategic thinking, analytical, investigative, and research skills, including data analysis and presentation.Ability to conduct analysis on the application of laws in relation to the financial services sector and interpret financial services legislation and policy.Experience managing relationships with industry and other stakeholders, and ability to respond with agility and flexibility to change.View the position description for more information or click ‘apply' to start your application.
