Lead Prosecutor
The Northern Territory seeks an experienced legal professional to oversee the prosecution service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex prosecutions, instructing and junioring in both Supreme Court trials and the Court of Criminal Appeal.
* Conduct high-level jury trials, sentences, and breach applications in the Supreme Court
* Appear in committal proceedings and contested summary prosecutions in the Local Court
Key requirements include being admitted or eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory of Australia, having experience in criminal law and advocacy, and demonstrating knowledge and understanding of criminal law, Uniform Evidence Law, and DPP Guidelines.
Responsibilities:

* Maintaining carriage of indictable criminal prosecutions
* Instructing and junioring in Supreme Court trials and the Court of Criminal Appeal
Requirements:
To succeed in this position, you must:
* Be admitted or eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory of Australia
* Have experience in criminal law and advocacy
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of criminal law, Uniform Evidence Law, and DPP Guidelines
