We are seeking a Certified Engineer with deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience in the caravan and trailer manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities: 
Lead engineering initiatives across product design, development, and improvement, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and customer needs. 
Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to optimise product performance, reduce production costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency. 
Apply deep knowledge of caravan and trailer standards (e.g., VSB1, ADRs) to ensure all products meet compliance and safety requirements. 
Participate in prototype development, structural testing, materials selection, and troubleshooting. 
Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. 
Work with the R&D; team on new product innovation, feature integration, and product enhancements. 
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across both engineering and manufacturing processes. 
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff. 
Engage with regulatory bodies and certification authorities when required. 
About you: 
Degree-qualified and Certified Professional Engineer. 
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in the caravan or trailer industry. 
Strong knowledge of ADR compliance, VSB1, chassis design, load calculations, materials selection, and build processes. 
Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiar with engineering change control processes. 
Experience working with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. 
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and project management skills. 
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. 
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
