Senior Credit Officer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Credit Officer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our credit management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient collection of accounts and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing training and assistance to credit officers to ensure compliance with corporate credit policies.
* Monitoring and collecting accounts as they fall due on behalf of the company.
* Reviewing customer master data changes and allocating transactions accordingly.
* Overseeing claims monitoring and processing, including documenting and reporting relevant actions.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Tasks
* Achieve monthly targets and report results.
* Ensure effective telephone collections and continually follow up with customers and sales personnel.
* Review orders on hold and ensure review and follow-up with customers and sales representatives.
* Reduce average days outstanding and percentage of debt exceeding terms.
* Liaise with external contacts to identify trends and influences impacting company debt.
* Continually review and streamline current systems and processes.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills
* Current or recent experience working with SAP is essential.
* Team leadership experience is preferred.
* Experience in managing high-value clients and low-value clients.
* Process improvement experience.
* Full understanding of trade practices, consumer, credit, and privacy acts.
* Understanding of company balance sheet, profit, and loss reports, and year-end financials.
* Dispute resolution and problem-solving skills.
* Team player and team builder.
* Membership of Australian Institute of Credit Management is desirable.
