About the Role
We are seeking a
hands-on Business Development Manager
with strong field experience to lead growth in clean water solutions across the
Mining, Metals & Industrial sectors
, with a focus on
gold, copper, and iron ore operations
.
Reporting directly to the hiring manager, you\'ll be the key driver in identifying, developing, and converting high-value opportunities across your territory. This is a
technical, on-the-tools role
suited to someone with a background as a
fitter, turner, or electrician
. Not just sales, and someone who understands how water systems integrate within complex mining environments. The role involves regular
travel to mine sites and customer locations
across SA and regional NSW.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute growth strategies in the mining and industrial water sector
Identify and pursue new business opportunities using data and market insights
Build long-term partnerships with customers, consultants, and contractors
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and expos
Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Product, Tendering, and GM) to deliver tailored solutions
Act as the key technical contact for clients, offering product knowledge and on-site expertise
Stay across industry trends and customer requirements, especially in gold, copper, and iron
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years\' experience
in business development or sales within technical/industrial sectors
Proven background in
mining
, particularly in
gold, copper, or iron operations
A hands-on, practical background, ideally a
fitter, turner, or electrician
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; confident engaging with site teams and decision-makers
Willingness to travel regularly across your region (SA/NSW)
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Able to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects
