Overview


We have an opportunity for an Early Careers Advisor to join our People & Culture team. The role is based in our Melbourne office and requires travel to other offices across Australia.


Responsibilities

* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Early Careers programs across all Hall & Wilcox offices.
* Contribute to cyclical activities such as rotations and mentoring, and collaborate with Learning & Development on induction and transition programs.
* Support the national Practical Legal Training and admission processes, oversee sponsorships and promotional events, and work with Business Development & Marketing to enhance our social media presence.
* Provide policy guidance to Law Clerks and Graduates; advise on employee relations matters; ensure compliance with employment legislation.
* Partner with the DEI team to foster an inclusive environment.
* Mentor the Early Careers Coordinator; build stakeholder relationships; support the 1st Year placement process.
* Drive continuous improvement through feedback and explore technology solutions to streamline processes, including AI where appropriate.
* Stay informed on industry best practices to keep programs competitive.


About You

* Ideally a minimum of three years of experience as a People & Culture generalist or in an Early Careers role within a professional services environment.
* Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment within a legal or professional services environment.
* Strong interviewing skills.
* Strong client (internal stakeholder) service focus and commercial acumen.
* Outstanding attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with experience in large-volume recruitment and managing competing priorities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
* Ability to think creatively and adopt new search methodologies.
* Team player who can work cooperatively within a team and autonomously.
* Strong ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
