About the role
Grafton Base Hospital is seeking a qualified Specialist in General Paediatrics to provide contemporary comprehensive specialist general paediatric services for optimal patient outcomes at the network hospitals. The successful applicant will provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist general paediatric services including inpatient services, outpatient clinics, hospital in the home and consultancy where applicable.
Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician or specialist international medical graduate pathway.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine at the role delineation of the service.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience with Child and Adolescent medicine and children with complex care requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Valid unrestricted driver's licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel and participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
