About the Role
In this senior leadership position, you will:
* Lead and manage complex aquatic ecology projects across freshwater, estuarine, and marine environments.
* Provide strategic ecological advice to clients across government, infrastructure, mining, and water sectors.
* Design and oversee field programs, ecological assessments, and monitoring studies.
* Mentor and support a talented team of ecologists and scientists.
* Contribute to business development, client engagement, and proposal preparation.
Requirements
* A degree (preferably postgraduate) in aquatic ecology, marine biology, environmental science, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in applied aquatic ecology, ideally within a consulting or regulatory environment.
* Strong technical expertise in freshwater and/or marine systems, including ecological risk assessment and environmental impact assessment.
* Proven leadership and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
