The Role
We are looking for a reliable driver with a valid HR licence and a clean record. The role involves transporting scrap metal between customer sites and Sims yards, handling manual loading and unloading, and representing the company professionally at client locations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating HR vehicles safely and in line with Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Managing daily runs – planning, timing, and adjusting as needed
- Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
- Grading and identifying ferrous and non-ferrous scrap (training provided)
- Keeping documentation accurate and up to date
- Managing bins at customer sites and flagging issues early
- Representing the business professionally at customer sites
Who We're Looking For
- Valid HR licence (non‐negotiable)
- Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own run
- Good communicator – you will deal with customers on site daily
- Crane or forklift ticket is a bonus, not a deal‐breaker
- Basic computer literacy for route and reporting systems
