Seeking an experienced Software Engineer within the cloud space proficient in Python, Terraform and AWS.

Your new role
o Accountable for managing and improving Cloud Platforms, orchestration capability and services;
o Understanding customer requirements and working with different teams and vendors to deliver solutions they need on time;
o Maintaining and improving all software assets managed by the team;
o Improve cloud orchestration and services to enable internal stakeholders to optimise cloud cost;
o Use Agile and Lean practices to drive the everyday way of working;
o Build the team's capabilities though continuous knowledge sharing;
o Identify and report security and operational risks to Delivery Manager;
o Engage and understand customers' needs to reduce hand offs and improve products and services;
o Create and maintain relevant documentation including Standard Operating Procedures for all platforms and processes;
o Highlight technology incident trends for root cause investigation;
o Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and availability plans;
o Ensure compliance with corporate and T&T governance standards and escalate potential breaches to the Delivery Manager;
o Adhere to Change Management processes and identify opportunities for automation.
What you'll need to succeed
o High level of skill and experience in the following technologies: Python, Terraform, AWS, Azure
o Intermediate level of skill and experience in the following technologies: Ansible, CI/CD, Django
o Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and re-engineering
o A good understanding of public, private & hybrid cloud infrastructure and ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
o Developing Infrastructure as a Code
o Building applications for, and deploying to, public & private cloud infrastructure
o Appreciation and experience in working with change management parameters and ITIL processes
