The Role
We're on the hunt for a Content Producer to join our dynamic Communications team at Canstar. This part-time (3 days a week) role is for an initial 12-month period, with strong potential for extension.
Based in our Brisbane office with a hybrid work setup, you'll collaborate with a team of journalists, SEO pros, marketers, and finance experts to create content that reaches millions of Aussies every year.
What You'll Be Doing
* Researching and writing finance-related content that educates and engages our readers
* Covering everything from explainer articles to breaking news and product comparisons
* Pitching and sourcing your own stories—because great content starts with fresh ideas
* Chatting with finance experts to make your content insightful and credible
* Ensuring content is SEO-friendly and aligns with Canstar's tone of voice
* Keeping an eye on performance metrics to fine-tune and optimise your work.
What You Bring To The Table
* 1-2 years' experience in journalism, content production, or editorial roles
* A passion for finance, business, or consumer topics (bonus points if you geek out over interest rates)
* Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress is a plus but not a deal-breaker)
* Confidence working with data, numbers, and financial concepts
* A keen eye for SEO and digital best practices
* Ability to meet deadlines without breaking a sweat.
