Overview
As a Process Operator (Boiler Operator) at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you will be responsible for operating the super-heated boilers, turbine generators, ash handling systems and bagasse system. This position is based at Kalamia Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor boiler station to ensure sufficient steam for factory operations and external demands.
Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance.
Achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.
Assist with the professional development of boiler assistants.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
Working arrangement
During the crushing, this position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. Once the crushing is complete and the Mill enters the maintenance period, the role switches to a day shift schedule with RDOs most Fridays.
Your Winning Combination
Our ideal candidate must have a High Risk Work Licence for Turbine Operator (TO) and Advanced Boiler Operator (BA). While applicants with High-Risk Work Licences (e.g. Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces) are desirable, we are prepared to provide training to those who show the right aptitude and fit.
