The role:
This role suits someone early in their electronics journey who's hungry to learn, has an affinity for electronics, and takes real pride in doing great work. If you like figuring out why something isn't working, enjoy hands‐on tasks, and want to build strong technical skills, you'll get the training and support to grow a long‐term career.
Reporting to the Senior Assembly and Repair Technician, the work starts with handset repairs. You'll fault‐find, work with circuit boards, use test gear like multimeters, rebuild units, and confirm everything meets quality and safety requirements. Process matters, so you'll follow work instructions, keep accurate repair and assembly records, look after tools and your workstation, and work safely every day. You'll also be part of a team that communicates clearly, escalates issues early, and shares practical ideas to improve quality and efficiency.
This is a genuine development pathway role. Once you've built consistency on handset repairs, the next step is production assembly of stations and TVs, then progression into headends, the core of the system.
What matters most is attitude. Bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, pride in your work, and a steady approach to process and repetition. Experience with soldering, hand tools, or basic electronics repair is helpful but not essential. A trade qualification or equivalent hands‐on experience in electronics, mechanical, or a related technical field is valued.
What cab you expect in return?
In addition to the opportunity to help shape a high‐performing, future‐ready workforce, you can expect to be part of a supportive and inclusive environment where your contributions matter. We value your growth and offer enhanced leave entitlements so you can invest in yourself and be present for the moments that truly matter.
