**Job**: Switchboard Operator
**Location**:Canberra, onsite
**Rate**:$30-35ph incl super
**Start date**:ASAP
**Contract length**: 6 months + 12 month extension
**Training**:full 2 week training provided
**Security clearance**: Baseline clearance (will be applied for on your behalf if needed)
In this role, you will oversee the national switchboard on behalf of our client and manage client requests and expectations.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Answering and transferring calls to appropriate departments or conference
- Updating employees contact details on switchboard, including address, contact numbers or login ID
- Arranging and confirming phone line bookings, cancellations and modifications
**What we're looking for**:
- A motivated self-starter with a proven track record of successfully delivering best practice and quality to the client
- Proactive with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities while seamlessly delivering outstanding customer service to the client
- A can-do attitude with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
- Can come from customer service background
