About the Role
The Executive and Administrative Officer supports the Executive Director – Northern Australia, playing a vital role in delivering administrative support to key policy areas including environment, social responsibility, governance, workforce, and economics.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the MCA NT office, including (but not limited to) mail handling, invoice processing, office supply management, and liaising with building services
* Provide diary and travel support to the Executive Director Northern Territory
* Deliver secretariat support for NT committees: schedule meetings, manage documents, and record minutes
* Maintain critical membership data and assist with database management
* Conduct high-level research tasks with the Principal Policy Advisor – NT across minerals sector issues
* Contribute to the coordination and delivery of major MCA NT events, including:
o Northern Australian Emergency Response Competition
o MCA NT Annual Gala Dinner
o Darwin Mining Club Luncheons
* Provide general support across other activities as needed
Essential Criteria
* Minimum of three years’ experience in public or corporate administration, including executive assistance
* Outstanding organisational, administrative, and problem-solving capabilities
* Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and comfortable with databases
* Strong customer service orientation and confident phone manner
Desirable
* Familiarity with the Australian mining industry
* Understanding of government operations and public policy advocacy
